Sue

During my Westlake years, Sue was the most like a sister to me.  She is one year younger, so my first year there, she was in Junior High.  Her family had just joined the church, and I am sure it was quite the change for her.  We had just moved and it was nice to have a NEXT DOOR neighbor who belonged to our ward!  I loved going back and forth to our homes.  Seminary was fun together too.  There are too many memories to put in a post, but all the times we had together were so fun.  I'm sure we weren't as aware of others as we could have been.  We just enjoyed each other so much.  It was hard at school, as she had her group of friends her age, and I had mine.  Sometimes it was as if we were only friends on Sunday or at Mutual.  But we talked so much.  And we did things with Randy and his friends too.  When it came time for our family to move (right after I graduated from high school), she drove to Utah with us to see what it was like.  She was so enamored with it, she wanted to live with my parents, even though I was going to BYU!  So she spent her senior year at Olympus High and then went to BYU the next year, meeting Mike, her first husband and marrying him.  They have 3 children, and then they went their separate ways.  As she married another good guy, I felt like we weren't as close.  I have had lunch with her a couple of times, and it is always great!  We live just far enough away that we haven't done a lot.  I will have to renew this friendship/sisterhood with her!
