I have had the privilege to be with all four of our parents as they completed their mortal journey on earth. Some I was right there, others I was nearly there! And I also love to visit others who are nearing that completion. There is a special spirit with those who are in that phase. It is sometimes hard to watch or know what to do or say. But that spirit is so strong, it is powerful to me.
It started with Dave's mother, Carol Tueller. Cancer took her at age 86.
Then my own mother, Frances Young. Her body just shut down at age 91.
Then Dave's father, Vern Tueller. He died of a fall in a rehab facility at age 95.
And my own father died this year from a complex infection at age 95.
Since being there as these 4 amazing people have left, I have visited a couple of dear friends. Neither has passed away, but I am watching them decline with grace.
