David Clare was an assistant to my dad as he was Mission President in the Ohio Cleveland Mission. They have maintained a relationship over the years. Elder Clare was able to attend my mother's funeral and say the opening prayer. He has truly been like a son to my parents.
Here they are joined by David's wife Jane. David and Jane Clare have been called to be Mission Presidents in Leeds England! They came over to get some counsel and love from my dad. This was so kind of them.
President Clare said his father died 2 years ago, so he would like a "Father's" blessing from my dad. It was absolutely one of the most spiritual and emotional things. Dad hasn't given a blessing in such a long time, and I wasn't sure how his mind would be able to do that, but the spirit worked through his mind to pronounce and beautiful blessing for the Clares. I am so grateful for this experience.
