Many wonderful childhood SISTERS

My circle of friends in  elementary school grew from my cousins, ward friends, to add in Junior High friends who all helped to shape my views of life, loved me even through my awkward years, and have been true friends into later life!  I will mention the most influential:

Julie Gundersen:  Karen's little sister, was always with Nancy and Karen and I.  She introduced me to horses and that type of thing.  I don't know if I would have appreciated that without her influence.  Later in life, she lived near us in Idaho.  She had a wonderful bread recipe and shared it with me.

Kristine Aposhian: church friend and always kind to me.  She invited me to swim in her pool and I thought that was so luxurious!

Adrienne Smith:  church friend.  Best birthday parties as her birthday was at the end of October and her school teacher mom was on point with ghost and Halloween things.  She had diabetes and after marrying and having a son, she died.  This hit me hard, as it was the first friend I lost like that.

Auralee:  She was a long time friend and even a friend in college and marriage time.  I will mention more of her in her own blog post.

Suzanne (ward friend), Shannon (school friend and later in life friend too), Diane (seriously smart friend)

Melodie was the kind of friend that liked me when I was probably the most unlikeable.  I still treasure her, and feel like a better person when she is around.  She threw a going away party for me, organized letters for me while I lived in Ohio, sent me loving notes in Junior high as well as across the country.  Then in our adult years, she kept in contact and always treated me like I was her favorite.

Karen Holt, was a junior high and adult friend.  She is still a good friend too!

Last but not least, Jolyn Spencer was a dear friend who's father happened to be my father's childhood friend.  We would visit probably once a year and really enjoyed being together in the desert of Cedar City, looking for arrowheads, selling lemonade, jumping on their trampoline, playing all kinds of dress up and just having lots of fun.
