Nancy

Nancy is my cousin.  She is about a year younger than me.  She was the closest person to a sister I had as a young girl.  We lived next door to each other.  We loved each other, we disagreed, we played all the time--sounds like sisters to me!  The nice thing was we both could run to a different mother when things didn't go like we wanted. And I loved her mother, my aunt Beth, very much.  I felt so blessed to have Nancy in my life (as well as her older sisters, Collette and Janice--all her siblings for that matter!).  She was my sidekick!  We climbed trees, played with Barbies, made snow cities, went on little trips with her Dad or Mom, played in the backyards, were even in a play together, had sleepovers (the only ones my mom approved of!) and on and on.

I think a lot of my life's perspectives were formed with Nancy.  We are different in many ways and similar in others, and I love her dearly and love to see how she lives her life now that we are adults.  She is a much better listener than I am, and she is quite an actress and reads audiobooks now (winning awards!).  She has always supported me, and I hope I support her as much!  As we got older, we went to girl's camp together, and got dogs at the same time, discussed everything under the sun together.  I think it was good we were in different grades, as we had school and church friends separately and didn't have to compete in those areas.

I have always felt loved and safe with Nancy.  She knew me so well as children and she still loved me!  I have more memories with Nancy than I can even write down!  She is my SISTER-cousin!

Love that smile, Nancy!
