My Dear Mother

I didn't know my mother yet in this photo.  She is a beauty.  She and my father met on their missions.  That says a lot about her, to have paid her own way on a mission.  She was faithful.  And the Lord blessed her in so many ways.

I love how happy my mom has always been with a baby in her arms.  She has loved every one of her children and grandchildren and they know it.  She loved me.  I'm not always self-confident, but I know her love for me has given me a wonderful foundation, that if I live right, I will always be able to feel love from others.  What a gift.  What a loving mother she was to me.

My mother was fun!  She loved to go on trips and be with family.  She always looked darling too.

My mother was MUSIC.  She was a professional violinist with the Utah Symphony, and could play piano and organ by ear or with music.  She didn't boast or brag, but she SHARED her talents with everyone freely.  She used her gifts to bless all our lives.  I wish I could hear her play one more time.

My mother served when called.  She was devoted to my dad.  They were a wonderful couple, and will continue to be in the next life.  I never remember hearing her complain about her church callings or my dads, only watching her dive in fully to fulfill them.  She didn't like the limelight, but loved supporting.  She was an amazing Mission Mother when my dad was the Mission President.  She listens and loves.  When she was the Relief Society President, no one was more shocked than her, but she just loved the sisters, and she was so effective.

My sweet mother always wanted to be with me.  I know my brothers feel the same as I do.  She made you feel such love.  The picture just above this was about a month before she passed away.  We went to a movie, which I know was so hard for her, but she loved us so she went!

Although she was 91 when she died, I still felt like she left too soon.  I miss her more and more as time goes by.  I know she will be there when I pass from this life, because she loves me.  I love her so much.
