Last night, my dad and I went to the Covey Center to see 3 paintings that Randy entered into an Art Contest. There were over 150 pieces of art that made it into the show, so we didn't expect him to receive an award (only 8 awarded). It was so fun to see all the artists and see Randy's paintings displayed. At the award ceremony, they called out Randy Young for the "people's choice" award (the people there voted by text, and a few from our family voted who weren't there). WOW! The only problem is that Randy is in CA! So I went up to the stage to receive his award and got my photo with the group of winning artists. I guess that may be the closest I get to winning an art contest :).
Randy was excited to win, and Dad and I were so glad to represent him. I love family.
