2021 Goals

It is easy to compare.  I admire others, and they are really good at what they are good at!  I am going to try in 2021 to compare differently.  I will compare myself to my previous self.  That is fair.  Am I improving?  Have I learned anything?  Am I kind to myself?  But even those comparisons are not always productive.  I think as the scripture says, losing yourself in the service of others, is the way to go about life.  If I am truly thinking of others, the Lord first, I will most definitely see how I can help them and if I have a talent or resource that can be of benefit to them.  That way I am being realistic with what gifts I have and how to best use them.  Then will come the joy.  Of course I should not ignore things I need to improve upon.  But those are usually very apparent and if not, I should pray to be aware of them.

So...This is my goal for 2021.  To seek the Lord's help to better learn my abilities and inabilities, change the things that are not productive if I can, and use my abilities to bless the lives of others.

That is quite a general goal, so I will set 6 specific ones:

1. Morning and nightly prayers

2. Read Book of Mormon daily and Come Follow Me

3. Consciously do one thing for my husband daily

4. Continue my walking 3 days a week

5. Use moderation in eating

6. Write in my journal daily
